What it means

Ollama's built-in llama.cpp could not load the file: the model is newer than your Ollama, or your copy was pulled long ago and since republished.

Why it happens

• Ollama is older than the model's architecture support.
• An old local copy of a model that has been re-uploaded in a newer format.
• A GGUF imported by hand that llama.cpp itself cannot load (see the llama.cpp errors in your server log).

How to fix it

1. Update Ollama, then run ollama pull <model> again.
2. If you imported the GGUF yourself, find the underlying llama.cpp message in the server log and look it up here.
